Don’t compare WATIR with commercial tools like QTP, Test Complete,etc.

WATIR is an open source application.

Hi Angrez,

Good work !

As you said, watir is a easy tool to learn, and i noticed couple of drawbacks while using the tool.

1. when Popup or window comes up.
2. Can not go for debugging mode( can do in other tools like QTP, Test Complete).
3. No built in functionality to generate the reports.

OK – I guess I didn’t listen to the whole podcast, must have skipped the last minute (just re-listened to it).

I haven’t used WatiR before, but I have used Selenium and WebDriver a lot.

I have started an Agile Testing meetup group in London (http://www.meetup.com/agiletesting). Do you know anyone who would be interested in talking about WatiR at the meetup group, giving a quick demo and explaining the benefits of using WatiR over other tools?

Hi Nathan. Hemal said a few words at the end of the show (starting at 36:59). I guess it is not clear what “featuring” means. It is just a way to promote people and companies that use Watir.
